Bears Announce Preseason Games

Hershey President/GM Doug Yingst announced two home preseason matchups today. The club also announced training camp will open September 27th as they prepare for their 78th season.

October 1st will feature the Bears against the Albany Devils, affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, in a 7:00 PM game from Giant Center. On the 3rd, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, affiliate of the hated Penguins, come to town for another 7:00 PM game. Tickets for both games will go on sale August 10th at 10:00 AM.

Hershey finished first in the East Division with a 46-22-5-3 (W-L-OTL-SOL) for 100 points. In the Calder Cup Playoffs, they would defeat the Worcester Sharks, affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, in 5 games before being eliminated by the Hartford Wolfpack, affiliates of the New York Rangers, in 6 games.

The Bears will now play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference after the AHL realigned the divisions at the end of last season. The full regular season schedule will be announced by the league at a later date.
