How He Did It: Charting Ovechkin’s Goals Through the Years

It took me four hours to compile this list. It’s impressive to look at: all 484 of Alex Ovechkin’s goals in one place. I decided to sort the goals by the franchise he scored them against in both the regular season and the playoffs. Higlights of the list below are numerous, but here are a few:

His fewest goals against one franchise is three against the Colorado Avalanche.
His most goals against a franchise is 41 on the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets.
The most goals scored against one team in a single season is nine, coming against the 2006-07 Atlanta Thrashers.
Adding his 19 KHL goals, he scored 51 goals in 2012-13, the Lockout shortened season.
He has 36 playoff goals entering the 2015-16 season.
